Mr. Cole founded FalconBridge in 2005 and is responsible for overseeing all engagements managed by the firm. Bennett's 24 years of experience in investment banking and capital markets spans a wide array of corporate finance, credit, fixed income, and securitization activities.
Prior to forming FalconBridge, Mr. Cole served as Group Head of Middle Market Investing and Lending at CSG Investments, Inc., a $8 billion investment manager located in Dallas, Texas. At CSG, he was responsible for the origination and structuring of direct loans and structured financings as well as for purchasing a variety of fixed income and alternative asset investments. Before joining CSG, Bennett was a Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Investment Banking at Raymond James & Associates. Having direct responsibility for all fixed income banking services, Mr. Cole oversaw the firm's activities in asset backed securities/asset finance, structured finance, financial restructuring advisory, and direct investments. In addition, he sat on several management committees at Raymond James, including the Fixed Income Commitments Committee, the Fixed Income Derivatives Transaction Review Committee, and the Fixed Income Management Committee. Prior to Raymond James, Bennett was a Managing Director and Head of the Consumer Assets Structured Finance Group at Wells Fargo Securities (formerly Wachovia Securities). During his tenure at Wells Fargo, Mr. Cole also served as interim head of the investment bank's Mortgage Finance Group and Co-Head of its Emerging Assets Structured Finance Group. Bennett was previously a Director in the Global Commercial and Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Securities, where he specialized in structured finance and asset securitization.
Mr. Cole is a graduate of the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BS) and the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University (MBA). He is a registered principal with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and holds Series 7, 63, 24, 28, and 79 licenses. Outside of FalconBridge, Mr. Cole serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Community Free Clinic in Concord, North Carolina.
